Actually this is "Bliss". Yes! Bliss is a picture and you are very familiar with it right? But since it be the default wallpaper of Windows XP, it become more and more popular in the world! The question is.... who is the owner of this photo? What's story behind this picture? How much money that he received for this photo? That is very very interesting to be known!!!
The owner of this photo is Charles O’Rear.
He is also photographer for National Geographic.
he use medium formatsecara hand-held camera for this photo. He take this photo at Sonoma County, California,
Amerika Syarikat. "This is an original photo, I did not make any editing from Photoshop and others for this photo" said O’Rear.
He take this photo since 1996... about 5 years ago before Windows XP hade been created. At the beginning, he take this photo just for himself... just to fulfill his hobby. It happened when he was driving to a destination. When he looked at a wonderful scenery (Bliss), he stopped his car and take some pictures. He never expected that this picture will very special like now.
After a few month, Corbis (agent in photographing) was called O'Rear and said, "Microsoft was interested with your picture and wanted to buy it". This conversation was the beginning of how the picture was finally had been using widely around the world right now. When we asked, what price that Microsoft had paid for this picture??! He refused to answered it... and yet he said..., "The amount are incredible!"

Now the location was totally different. No longer fertile plant there. The picture above captured in 2006 at the same place where O'Rear take the picture...Bliss... 'Bliss' photo by O'Rear increased drastically because the location was no longer 'exists'.
